The restricted parties’ lists published by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), Office of Foreign Assets Controls (OFAC), and the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) is updated almost daily. Therefore, it is important to check all parties involved in an export transaction against the sanctioned parties’ lists at the time an order is placed, and at the time of shipment as a party that cleared screening at the time of order entry may have been sanctioned by the time the shipment is ready. This includes parties listed as licensed parties who, while screened during license review, may have been sanctioned following license approval.
The U.S. Government has a Consolidated Screening List where you can check all relevant sanctioned parties list (https://www.trade.gov/data-visualization/csl-search ) or you can sign up for a private sanctioned party screening service which can be integrated into your ERP system.
