NS1, RS1, MT1 Commerce Licensing Requirements Removed for UK and Australia
List based licensing requirements for items and technology controlled for National Security column 1, Regional Stability column 1 and Missile Technology column 1 have been removed for the United Kingdom and Australia. As these countries are not subject to NS2 or RS2 controls, all Commerce Country Chart based NS and RS controls are removed for these countries. With these changes, “600” series military items will no longer require a license to the UK or Australia. Additionally, many 9×515 satellite related items will no longer require a license to the UK or Australia. Australia and the UK will now have nearly the same licensing treatment under the EAR as Canada.
Licensing requirements for 500 series firearms and ammunition related items remain in effect through a footnote in the Commerce Country Chart.
