We have been experiencing extended review times related to BIS748P license applications. These longer review times are the result of revised sign off policies during final review of applications, as well as staffing issues at BIS. As a result, applications that once took 2-3 days for BIS final review following review by outside agencies are now taking 2-3 weeks. We advise our clients to account for these delays when planning lead times for exports and to notify and remind your foreign customers that BIS can take up to 90 days to approve a license application.
