News & Blog

Companies that are required to register with the State Department are required to maintain records regarding the manufacture, acquisition and disposition of defense articles, technical data, provision of defense services, brokering activity, information on political contributions, fees and commissions. Records must be stored in such a manner that they are reproducible on paper. Digital records must be stored in such a manner that they cannot be altered without a record of all changes, who made the changes, and why they were made. Records must be maintained for five years from the expiration of the license or other approval or from the date of the transaction.
